Temple of the Stars - Nightspirit

Temple of the Stars is the new band of Tobias Tåg who is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Korsholm, located at the west coast of Finland.

This music is sonically nocturnal and melodic, with a lot of folk elements presented within an atmospheric rock context. It´s a mix of folk, rock, prog, and metal that´s going to appeal to a wide audience. The songs are catchy but they also have a sense of mystique.

Countless Goodbyes announces their genesis, introducing a new surprising sound to fans and lovers of metal and rock with the release of their long-awaited debut album, Cycles. Vocalist Onni Kivikaarre comments: "The Fallen" is about giving all your energy to help ones in need but without reciprocity. You treat people the way you want to be treated, but in this case it was too much for your own good. "

Cycles is composed of 10 tracks. The album will introduce a new style to the band’s music, since the band has added a lot of clean singing in to their songs to support the heavier screams. On the album, the band’s new singer, Onni Kivikaarre, among other topics is singing about the present course of the world toward potential man-made ruin which the cover art of Cycles refers to. Cycles will bring something new to the lovers of metal music by introducing compelling melodies, heavy riffs and punchy hooks.

Marianas Rest released a third single from their upcoming Ruins album

Finnish melancholic death metal band Marianas Rest released a third single 'Unsinkable' from their upcoming second album 'Ruins' due to be released in April 26th 2019 by Inverse Records.

Watch Unsinkable video:

Vocalist Jaakko Mäntymaa comments the single:
"Unsinkable is the easiest and lightest track on the album. The coffin of memories is opened up and of course nothing beautiful is found there."

Timo Virkkala (cello) and Insomnium's Niilo Sevänen (reciting Lord Byrons poem) make a significant contribution to the overall hopeless mood of the album. And still, if you really try, maybe you can catch a glimpse of hope, ever escaping sight.

Teemu Aalto (Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum) is the man behind recording, mixing and producing Ruins. The album tells a story of how a mind slowly crumbles: about introversion, putting up mental walls and eventually disappearing inside your own head.

DEATH’S-HEAD AND THE SPACE ALLUSION

The melodic heavy metal band from Oulu, DEATH’S-HEAD AND THE SPACE ALLUSION releases their debut album THE COUNTERBALANCE on May 3rd through Inverse Records.

Recording and mixing took place in Oulu and the final touch was given by Jaakko Viitalähde and Virtalähde Mastering. After two singles and one EP album the band started to forge their debut. The work began in the beginning of 2018 and soon turned out to be quite a project to handle. Finally, it is ready and will be brought to light!

“The album took quite a toll on my personal life. A whole year in the dark, but it fits the context perfectly. All the madness and evil in people created a lot of gloomy lyrics, which at times felt like ‘fuck it, it’s time to give in to the rope myself’.

On the other hand, no other lyrics have made me this proud. And I can’t forget Markus Makkonen from Sadistik Forest, who was a great help with lyrics. I think the music speaks for itself. It isn’t speed metal with high-speed solos and arpeggios, but there is a faint shadow of progressive metal from time to time. A straight-forward album with heavy weight on it. This must be played live, I can’t wait for it!” said guitarist Antza Talala.

Before the album release the band will release a single of the first track ‘Dopefiend Outrun’ in the form a lyrical video.

GEARS Release Official Music Video for "Tango Yankee"

hard rock band GEARS has released the official music video for their single, "Tango Yankee" featuring Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust. Originally premiered on Tattoo.com, "Tango Yankee" was produced by Corey Lowery.

Gears Promo Final Edits 55 1 of 1

"With 'Tango Yankee,' we just really wanted to write something dedicated to several members of our families that have served in the Military, Law Enforcement, and First Response. We really wanted this to be special, so getting one of our favorite vocalists from one of our favorite bands was very exciting and made this track just that, special. Lajon came in and absolutely crushed the track vocally. I really love the way it turned out. Trip and LJ complimented each other so well. Put that together with Clint's epic solo and of course, Corey at the helm, this really turned into something spectacular. I believe that the thought behind the song is something that most Americans can relate to as many of us have or have had loved ones serve. Maybe even a little something that can get us past all of our political disagreements, unify, recognize the sacrifice and just say a simple 'Thank You' to all those who fight for our freedom, protect us and keep us safe." - Jimmy Wooten – GEARS

Tango Yankee Skull

Miami based hard/heavy rock act GEARS isn’t your average start-up garage band. Despite being confronted with a near disastrous setback at the cusp of their debut, headlining tour, jarring line-up changes, and financial challenges, the band has persevered and rebuilt.

Founded in February 2014, Trip 6 (Urban Rebel), Eli Parker (Endo), Tommy Herres (SCARLET CARSON) and Jimmy Wooten (SKINMASK) were all looking for new projects as their old ones had run their course.

We all wanted to do something more modern, but still rang true to our influences. Something that we could aggressively market and tour on. So, we all met up in Miami after months of talking about doing something together and what came out was the first EP, Set in Motion.

They released Set in Motion in May 2014, immediately launching into their first headline run with support from I-Exist. Just three days into the tour, their equipment trailer disconnected, resulting in a massive, horrific accident; not only did they lose their gear, but the tour van was totaled and the band members sustained serious injury. In spite of this tremendous blow, the group endured and continued the tour without missing a beat.

Later it developed that two of the founding members were unable to continue, leaving the band reeling and having to replace them with skilled, compatible substitutes:

"I was talking with a mutual friend, Joe Taback (12 Gauge Embrace) about needing a guitar player for GEARS because we let go of Eli and he suggested Bobby Thomas. I called him and showed him the songs and he was ready to go. As far as bass, I knew Chris from when Needlemouth was a thing out in Cali and I always liked his playing and he was super laid back & cool. I knew both of these dudes were definite upgrades at their instruments and were a better fit personality wise than what we had to deal with previously."

In June 2015, Wooten and Six teamed with Corey Lowery (Saint Asonia, Stuck Mojo, Stereomud, Dark New Day) and Troy Mclawhorn (Evanescence, Seether, Dark New Day) on their new EP Pride Comes Before the Fall, and announced the addition of new members Bobby Thomas and Chris Dorame. They hit the road for their Riser Tour, once again with I-Exist, in July, wrapping up the run in September, but kept the momentum going with the digital release and lyric video for their debut single off of Pride Comes Before the Fall, “Face Down”. The band rounded out the year with the release of their much anticipated sophomore EP on November 10th, with both headlining tours and a support slot with Trapt slated for 2017.

After a very successful tour in 2017 with Seasons After and Bridge to Grace, GEARS has released a new single and video for “KING.” Once again, joined by Corey Lowery in the studio, GEARS continues to evolve. Boasting an even heavier sound with groove and aggression, they set out for Headlining Dates as well as Support Slots with Nonpoint, Upon a Burning Body and will round out their 2018 Summer/Fall Tour Dates with the last of 3 legs with All That Remains concluding at the end of September.

After touring much of 2018 with All That Remains, GEARS has shifted focus to releasing more music. Their first 2019 offering will be “TANGO YANKEE’ which features LAJON WITHERSPOON of SEVENDUST.

We're still moving forward and, despite everything that has been an obstacle in the short time we've been a band, everything still keeps growing and getting better.
